Ganesh Vedarattiname
Founder
Ganesh Vedarattiname is an aviation and aerospace professional shaped by early exposure to science, technology and exploration.
Born and raised in French Guiana, home of the European Space Centre, he developed a rare perspective on the power of innovation and has since built a career at the intersection of analytics, aviation and commercial decision-making. His work bridges deep technical insight with real-world business understanding – a combination that ultimately led him to found Toucan Aerospace.
The name Toucan is a nod to those roots and to the environment that first shaped Ganesh’s interest in aerospace. Today, that same curiosity and willingness to look at established industries differently sits at the heart of the business.
Through Toucan, Ganesh works across aviation and the wider aerospace ecosystem, connecting industry expertise with data, technology, capital and new ways of thinking to identify opportunities and solve complex commercial challenges. His approach is deliberately problem-led rather than technology-led, with a focus on turning emerging capabilities into practical, commercially valuable outcomes.
Wahiba Ouekkai
Associate
Wahiba Ouekkai is an Associate at Toucan Aerospace, bringing an aeronautical engineering background and a technical, analytical perspective to the team’s work across aviation and aerospace.
Her experience spans aviation operations, quality management, safety and regulatory compliance, giving her a strong understanding of how complex technical and operational environments work in practice. At Toucan, she applies that experience across research, analysis and advisory projects, translating complex information and data into clear, practical insight.
Prior to joining Toucan, Wahiba worked with Spirit AeroSystems Morocco, where she developed and implemented Safety Management System frameworks under EASA Part 145 requirements. Her work achieved zero non-conformities during an EASA audit and was subsequently requested by two of Spirit’s global sites.
She also brings frontline aviation operations experience from Mohammed V International Airport and holds a State Engineer’s Degree in Aeronautical Systems Engineering.
Fluent in Arabic, English and French, Wahiba brings an international perspective and strong understanding of the MENA aviation environment to Toucan’s work.
